    We currently have a vacancy for the role of Technical Trainer in Nigeria. The aim of this position is to develop and deliver "up to date" technical training on Cummins Engines and/or Cummins Power Generation products and evaluate the students comprehension as well as overall ability in providing the highest standard of service to our customers. The incumbent will also provide feedback on the training needs and communicate those needs to the Technical Training Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Build in the students a "Safety begins with me" work ethic. - Deliver the highest quality training possible and translate materials when required - Maintain an "expert" knowledge level of our products and procedures - Properly evaluate the student. Be a confidence builder but maintain the integrity of the training program. - Provide test result to the Master Centre in order to update Cummins Systems - Maintain the training equipment. Keep it in good working order and appearance. Prepare equipment for each class - Keep training material updated and available for each class. - Report any unsafe conditions and practices occurring in the workplace to your supervisor REQUIREMENTS: - Min. 5 years experience related to servicing diesel engins and/or power generation sets - Must have diesel engine troubleshooting skills - Experience in workplace training preferred - Must have Diesel and mechanics qualification, electronics qualification also preferred. - University degree required, level 4 minimum (Senior Certificate or Trade Certificate), level 5 preferred (National Certificate or Diploma) - Training Qualification/Degree is an added advantage (e.g. A1, V1, CERT ED, local awarding bodies) - Must have strong computer skills (PC programs – Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, etc.). - English fluency is mandatory - multi-language preferred (French) - Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally - Able to manage pressure and time effectively and efficiently - Must work well with others and be flexible - Must be willing to travel if required (to support other regions or for your QTQ program) - Must be willing to invest the time necessary to provide the highest quality training possible (go the extra mile when needed)

    We currently have a vacancy for the role of Parts Leader, based in West Africa (Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria). Person in this position will hold overall responsibility for the parts in the local branch. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Full responsibility for the Parts financial objectives and performance - Budgeting Parts sales and contribution on a monthly, quarterly and yearly per AOP - Forecasting Parts sales and contribution on a monthly, quarterly and yearly per AOP - Management of department expenses( incl. cost reduction programme) - Management of daily parts orders, back orders, stock replenishment process, excess stock, stock turns etc - Use and control of systems reports i.e. liaise stock transfers, daily order audit trail, stock movement - Management and control workshop returns, credit notes, stock adjustments - Management of warehouse i.e. daily cycle counts, bin locations, bin usage, overall presentation and neatness of warehouse - Management of daily cash sales account Responsibility for promoting and improving Customer Satisfaction levels - Improve customer satisfaction levels via the NPS programme - Branch Excel status - Through the Lens of Customer programme - Development of customer facing staff i.e. PI’s, Account Managers - Visit customers on a regular basis Responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental issues in the branch - Internal monthly and annual SHE Audit results - Cummins and local statutory safety measurements Responsibility for parts staff welfare and development in the branch - Self development plan and status using On Track - Staff development plans and status using On Track - Address and develop findings from employee satisfaction surveys - Technical and soft skill developmental training for all departments Responsibility for profitable business growth of the branch - Identification and development of new market segments - Development of customer base – existing and new - Maintain the Engine Population Register accuracy levels - Implementation and compliance levels with key marketing initiatives Supporting the Cummins Vision & Mission and sustaining and enhancing the Cummins Corporate Image in the branch REQUIREMENTS: - At least 10 years experience in related markets and industries. - At least 10 years experience in Cummins product and parts (or similar) experience is essential - Experience in managing staff; direct dealings with customers and running a semi-independent department, business or branch. - Experience in communicating to a broad listener base. - Experience in creating and implementing business improvement plans and strategies. - Relevant technical qualification (Trade certificate, National diploma or Degree) - essential. - Managerial qualification from a recognised tertiary or other management training institution – optional - Sales and marketing qualification - optional - PC literate - Excellent oral and written communication skills
